Cruises to Hawaii in 2011 are offered by Princess Cruises and Holland America with a couple of cheap Hawaii cruises offered by Carnival and Royal Caribbean.

Choose a cheap Hawaii cruise or splurge for a Hawaii Tahiti cruise. Options include a variety of cruise lengths and a selection of departure ports such as Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Diego, Vancouver, Papeete or Ensenada, Mexico. Here is a sample of the 2011 Hawaiian cruises.

Cheap Hawaii Cruises

Royal Caribbean Hawaii Cruises – Royal Caribbean is offering two different repositioning cruises for 2011 with cruise fares starting around $100 per day per person. The Radiance of the Seas will depart Vancouver on September 16, 2011 for an 11-night Hawaii cruise. The cruise will stop in Kona (Big Island), Lahaina (Maui) and Kauai before ending in Honolulu. Alternatively, the Rhapsody of the Seas' 12-night cruise adds in the port of Hilo with an evening sail past Mount Kilauea.

Carnival Cruises to Hawaii – Carnival offers only three different cruises to Hawaii for 2011. Their cheapest Hawaii cruise starts at $949 per person for a 12-day Hawaii cruise. Departing from Ensenada, Mexico on April 10, 2011, this Hawaiian cruise includes the ports of Hilo, Kona, Kauai, two days in Maui and five days at sea. The cruise ends in the cruise port of Honolulu.

Princess Hawaii Cruises

Hawaii Cruises from Los Angeles – Princess Cruises has two cruise ships that offer a 14-day roundtrip Hawaii cruise from Los Angeles. The Golden Princess offers Hawaii cruises year-round for 2011 and the Sapphire Princess will offer select dates in January, February, March, October, November and December. These cruises depart from San Pedro pier and include the ports of Hilo, Honolulu, Kauai and Lahaina, Maui. There are eight days at sea on these cruises.

Hawaii Tahiti Cruises – The Royal Princess will offer 12-day Hawaii Tahiti cruises in the months of January, February, and March 2011. Embark the ship in Papeete, Tahiti and cruise through the French Polynesia and the Hawaiian Islands. The cruise ends in Honolulu, Hawaii, but the cruise also operates in reverse with the embarkation port of Honolulu, instead.

Holland America Hawaii Cruises

Hawaii Cruises from San Diego – In February and March 2011, the Zaandam will offer a 14-day Circle Hawaii cruise that sails roundtrip from San Diego, California. The cruise will include the ports of Hilo, Honolulu, Kauai, Lahaina and Ensenada, Mexico. There are also eight days at sea. In October and November 2011, the Oosterdam will offer the identical cruise from San Diego.

Hawaii Tahiti Cruises – Holland America's Westerdam will offer a 30-day Circle Hawaii and Tahiti cruise that sails roundtrip from San Diego. The only departure for 2011 is September 29. Ports of call include Honolulu, Hilo, Lahaina, Cook Islands and a number of ports in the French Polynesia such as Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti.

All of the above Hawaii cruises are over ten days in length due to the fact that the ship must include a country other than the US on its itinerary, according to the Jones Act. NCL Hawaii cruises are the only Hawaiian cruises that are exempt from this rule because the Pride of America is a US-flagged vessel. The Pride of America offers seven-day Hawaii cruises roundtrip from Honolulu starting at $899 per person.
