In 2011 Princess Cruises will offer numerous European cruises from Barcelona, Southampton, Athens, Civitavecchia, Venice, Dover and Copenhagen.

Princess Cruises will offer its most extensive European season for 2011 according to a 2010 press release. Seven different ships will feature a variety of itineraries throughout the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and other European cruise routes. Here are some sample routes.

Mediterranean Cruises 2011

Cruises from Barcelona – The Ruby Princess will offer six 12-day cruises from Barcelona, Spain to Venice for 2011. The itinerary includes the ports of Monte Carlo (Monaco), Florence (Italy), Civitavecchia (Italy), Mykonos and Athens in Greece along with Kusadasi and Istanbul in Turkey. The cruise spends a day and an overnight in Venice before disembarking the passengers. An additional five cruises operate a reverse itinerary departing Venice and ending in Barcelona.

Cruises from Rome – The Star Princess will offer five 12-day cruises from Civitavecchia, Italy (Rome) to Venice, Italy for 2011. This Greek Isles and Mediterranean cruise will stop at Monte Carlo, Florence and Naples in Italy, the Greek ports of Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, Katakolon and Corfu, and the port of Split in the country of Croatia. The cruise includes a day and overnight in Venice before disembarking passengers.

Cruises from Athens – The Pacific Princess will offer seven 12-day Holy Land cruises departing from Athens, Greece in 2011. Cruises end in either Rome or Venice. An additional seven 12-day cruises will start in either Rome or Venice and end in Athens. These types of cruises include one or two Greek islands as well as the ports of Jerusalem and Nazareth in Israel as well as Alexandria, Egypt.

Cruises from Southampton – The Grand Princess offers a number of roundtrip cruises from Southampton, England for 2011. Many of them feature a variety of different ports of call throughout the Mediterranean.

Northern Europe Cruises 2011

Cruises from Copenhagen – The Emerald Princess offers more than ten 11-day roundtrip cruises from Copenhagen, Denmark for 2011. The cruises feature ports of call in Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Germany with an overnight in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Cruises from Southampton – The Crown Princess offers a few different itineraries that cruises roundtrip from Southampton, England. Choose from a British Isles cruise or a Norwegian Fjords cruise.

Cruises from Dover – The Ocean Princess offers many different cruises in 2011 that depart from Dover, England. Choose a cruise that visits north of the Arctic Circle. A few other cruises visit Iceland and other cruises feature Scotland and England.

2011 Repositioning Cruises

Spring Repositioning Cruises 2011 – Five Princess ships departs Fort Lauderdale for their spring repositioning cruises in 2011. The Emerald Princess departs on April 27, 2011 on a 16-day cruise bound for Copenhagen, Denmark. The Ruby Princess offers a 15-day cruise departing May 1, 2011 bound for Barcelona. The Star Princess leaves for Civitavecchia on May 3, 2011 and the Grand Princess heads to Southampton on May 5, 2011.

Fall Repositioning Cruises 2011 – Repositioning cruises are offered during October, November and December 2011. The Ruby Princess departs Venice, Italy on October 19, 2011 on an 18-day cruise to Fort Lauderdale. The Grand Princess departs Southampton, England on November 4, 2011 for a 15-day cruise to Fort Lauderdale. The Star Princess cruises from Venice on December 8, 2011 bound for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Princess Cruises offers a large selection of European cruises for 2011. When choosing a cruise, consider the embarkation and disembarkation port as an opportunity to extend your cruise vacation.
